Movement Commands
Come/go and left/right — two opposite pairs

Opposite drill rule: command 1 → opposite command 2, then command 3 → opposite command 4. The person and classroom objects keep their last commanded position or state instead of resetting.

Fuṣḥā Arabic Command Rules — صِيغَةُ الْأَمْرِ فِي الْعَرَبِيَّةِ الْفُصْحَى
1. Forming the masculine singularStart from the jussive present, remove the present-tense prefix, and add hamzat al-waṣl when required: يَفْتَحْ → اِفْتَحْ, يَجْلِسْ → اِجْلِسْ.
2. Hamzat al-waṣl vowelThe opening vowel is normally kasrah, but it may be ḍammah when the middle radical has original ḍammah: اِجْلِسْ، اِفْتَحْ، اُدْخُلْ، اُخْرُجْ.
3. Feminine, dual and pluralAdd the appropriate ending: اِفْتَحِي (one female), اِفْتَحَا (two people), اِفْتَحُوا (masculine plural), اِفْتَحْنَ (feminine plural).
4. Negative commandsUse لَا النَّاهِيَةُ plus the jussive present: لَا تَفْتَحْ!, لَا تَذْهَبْ!, لَا تَتَوَقَّفْ!.
5. Objects and attached pronounsDirect objects are accusative: اِفْتَحِ الْبَابَ. Pronouns attach to the command: أَعْطِنِي (give me), اِفْتَحْهُ (open it).
6. Connecting kasrahA word-final sukūn is often followed by a helping kasrah before الـ: خُذِ الْقَلَمَ، ضَعِ الْكِتَابَ، شَغِّلِ الْحَاسُوبَ.
7. Irregular and weak verbsMemorise forms such as قِفْ، خُذْ، ضَعْ، قُلْ، كُلْ، اِئْتِ. Defective verbs may lose the final weak letter: اِنْحَنَى → اِنْحَنِ.
8. Polite formal commandsAdd مِنْ فَضْلِكَ (to a man) or مِنْ فَضْلِكِ (to a woman), or use تَفَضَّلْ / تَفَضَّلِي for a courteous instruction.
