Czech Grammar & Gender Chart

Nominative singular
How Czech ordinals work: Ordinals act like adjectives and must agree with the noun. Most change -ý → -á / -é (masculine / feminine / neuter); soft adjectives like první and třetí keep -í for all three nominative singular genders. In dvacátý první (21st), both parts agree with the noun. Number notation: 21. den, not 21st den.

Compound ordinals: 21. = dvacátý první, 22. = dvacátý druhý, 35. = třicátý pátý. Alternative one-word forms such as jednadvacátý also exist; the drill consistently teaches the transparent two-part pattern. Hundreds: 100. = stý, 200. = dvoustý, 300. = třístý; 1000. = tisící.
