Ausbildung in Germany from Bangladesh.
A serious Ausbildung plan has four separate parts: the profession, the German, the employer, and the visa. This guide separates them so you do not confuse a language certificate with a job contract, a job contract with a visa, or a social-media promise with an official German rule.
This page is an educational guide, not legal advice or a visa guarantee. Rules can change and profession/state-specific requirements can be stricter. Before an application or payment, verify the current German Embassy Dhaka, Federal Foreign Office, Make it in Germany, employer and vocational-school requirements.
Forget the old “one checklist fits everyone” version.
The 2026 rules are more precise than many old Bangladesh guides suggest.
No universal “18–30” Ausbildung limit.
Germany's official vocational-training requirements page states that there is no general age limit for starting vocational training. The under-35 condition applies to the separate visa for seeking a training place.
No universal HSC rule for every dual Ausbildung.
For dual in-company training, German law does not prescribe one specific school-leaving qualification. Employers decide; school-based training and regulated professions can require recognised qualifications.
B1 is the normal federal benchmark.
Make it in Germany says B1 is normally required. The Dhaka embassy checklist says usually A2, medical professions at least B1, with employer assessment possible in certain non-medical cases. Follow the stricter requirement that applies to your case.
Up to 20 hours/week can be permitted.
The current §16a federal guidance allows an independent second job for up to 20 hours per week while holding a residence permit for vocational training.
Six claims you should stop repeating.
These are exactly the kinds of statements that make Ausbildung content look unreliable.
False as a general rule. There is no universal age limit for starting Ausbildung; under 35 belongs to the training-place-search visa.
Correct. Dual training has no one statutory school-leaving qualification for every profession.
Too broad. Federal guidance normally points to B1, while nursing may require B1 or B2 depending on the federal state.
Correct. Visa evidence, employer language assessment and profession-specific requirements are separate questions.
False. Language is one requirement. Employer selection and visa approval are independent processes.
Correct. Official guidance says many application periods begin about 12–18 months before training, which often starts in August or September.
Vocational training is not a shortcut university degree.
It is a profession-focused qualification system with different forms.
| Route | Where learning happens | Typical duration | Payment | Qualification logic |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dual vocational training | Company + vocational school | Often around 2–3.5 years depending on occupation | Monthly training remuneration from employer | Employer selection + vocational-school requirements |
| School-based vocational training | Vocational / specialised school, often with practical placements | Profession-dependent | Payment rules vary by field | School qualification often must be recognised; profession rules apply |
| Dual study | Company + university | Often 3–5 years | Company-linked; arrangements vary | Requires university entrance qualification |
| University study | University / university of applied sciences | Usually longer academic route | Not an Ausbildung salary | Academic admission requirements apply |
What does “dual” actually mean?
You learn occupational theory at a Berufsschule and practical skills with an Ausbildungsbetrieb. The exact weekly pattern is not universally “3–4 work days + 1–2 school days”; some programmes use block teaching or different schedules. Always read the training plan and employer information.
The German level on paper is not the same as workplace German.
For Ausbildung, language is the operating system of the school, employer and examination.
Introduce yourself, numbers, dates, time, basic questions, simple daily communication. Not a sensible final target for Ausbildung.
Daily life, housing, shopping, health, simple work situations. Dhaka's visa checklist says usually at least A2 is necessary, but that does not override employer/profession rules.
Explain experiences, handle familiar workplace situations, follow connected language, write practical messages and take part in interviews. Federal guidance normally points here.
More complex instructions, nuanced discussion, faster listening and professional communication. Some nursing pathways may require B2 depending on the state.
Train the language around the profession
A cook needs kitchen commands, hygiene and timing vocabulary. A mechatronics trainee needs tools, faults, measurements and safety instructions. A nursing trainee needs patient communication, documentation and medical-care language. A generic B1 course is the foundation; profession vocabulary is the bridge into work.
Separate training pay from visa financial proof.
The two numbers are related, but they are not the same thing.
Training salary can prove livelihood
or €822 net per month is the current official 2026 benchmark at which livelihood is considered secure for company-based vocational training. If the allowance is lower, the difference can be supplemented with a blocked account or declaration of commitment.
Separate financial evidence
Current federal guidance states that school-based training requires at least this monthly amount through accepted proof such as a blocked account, declaration of commitment or scholarship.
Do not use these figures as a universal “Ausbildung salary chart.” Actual pay depends on profession, employer, region, training year and collective agreement. The statutory minimum also has scope and collective-agreement rules. Always read the real offer.
Choose a profession before you choose a visa strategy.
These are examples of major vocational-training areas—not a promise that every company recruits internationally.
Pflegefachfrau / Pflegefachmann / Pflegefachperson
Nursing is a regulated field with specific school, health, reliability and language requirements. Official guidance says B1 or B2 depending on the federal state.
Search: Ausbildung PflegefachpersonFachinformatiker/in
Common specialisations include application development and system integration. Competition and employer requirements vary widely; strong German plus actual technical ability matters.

Germany's official guidance says vocational-training applications often begin around 12–18 months before the start; many programmes begin in August or September.
Research the occupation
Use BERUFENET / official profiles to understand tasks, school requirements, training length and employer expectations.
Build German before mass-applying
Your application may look polished, but your real German appears in the interview. Do not use AI or translation to fake a language level you cannot demonstrate.
Search official and reputable portals
Use Make it in Germany job listings and the Federal Employment Agency. Search the German occupational title + “Ausbildung”.

Match the employer, profession, location and start date. A generic motivation letter sent to 100 companies is weaker than a clear, relevant application.
Prepare for selection
Employers may use interviews, tests, trial tasks or assessment centres. Know the profession and be ready to explain why that company and field fit you.
Get the contract + Ausbildungsplan
The German Embassy Dhaka checklist requires the signed training agreement and training plan for the vocational-training visa route.
Your documents should sound like you—and match the job.
Europass can be used, but it is not a universal legal rule that every Ausbildung CV must be Europass.
CV / Lebenslauf
Keep it structured and relevant. Include:
- Contact details
- Education
- Work / internship experience
- German level + certificate if available
- Technical / digital skills relevant to the occupation
- Interests only when useful
Motivation / Cover Letter
Answer four questions:
- Why this occupation?
- Why this employer?
- What evidence shows you fit the role?
- What are you doing to prepare your German and practical skills?
Do not memorise ten answers. Learn to survive the follow-up question.
The interviewer is testing fit, motivation, communication and whether your German is real.

Use the German Embassy Dhaka checklist—not a Facebook checklist.
The embassy's current vocational-training information is dated 15 January 2026.
Follow the current embassy specifications; do not reuse an old PDF checklist without checking the live page.
From the German training employer / institution.
The current Dhaka checklist specifically requests the training plan.
Submit the qualifications requested; recognition requirements depend on training type and profession.
Dhaka: usually at least A2; medical professions at least B1. Federal/profession guidance may require B1 or B2. Use the requirement that applies to your case.
Your career expectations, German, benefits and future plans should make sense together.
The embassy asks for compulsory German health-insurance evidence from the employer from the start of employment, with separate travel health insurance if needed before coverage begins.
Use the current 2026 livelihood rules—not an old flat blocked-account number.
The Dhaka embassy states documents in Bengali or another language must be supported by an English or German translation and prefers the German version rather than submitting both.
The embassy says pre-approval by the Federal Employment Agency is not mandatory but may shorten processing significantly.
Germany also has a visa to search for a vocational-training place.
This is a different route with different conditions.
| 2026 condition | Training-place-search visa | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Age | Under 35 | This is where the age limit applies. |
| German | B1 | Current federal requirement. |
| School qualification | School-leaving certificate giving access to higher education, or qualification from a German school abroad | This is stricter than the general rule for starting a dual Ausbildung with a contract. |
| Financial proof | €1,091 per month in a blocked account or declaration of commitment (2026) | You are searching, so there is no training salary yet. |
| Stay | Up to 9 months | Time to search for a suitable training place. |
| Work during search | Up to 20 hours/week + up to 2 weeks total trial work | Subject to the route's current rules. |
Anything that promises certainty deserves extra checking.
Employer selection belongs to the employer. Ask for the legal company identity, vacancy, contract terms and direct employer contact.
The German Embassy explicitly states that submitting the documents does not guarantee a visa.
Do not transfer large sums simply because a recruiter sends a PDF. Independently verify the German company.
Vocational school, workplace communication and interviews expose real language ability. Fake fluency does not survive the process.
Remuneration varies by employer, sector, region, year of training and tariff agreement.
Settlement rules involve completed training, qualified work and additional legal requirements. Language alone is not permanent residence.
The path after training is clearer than the old “instant PR” story.
Months to look for qualified work
After successfully completing vocational training in Germany, the official portal says you can stay for up to 18 months to find qualified employment under the relevant job-search residence route.
Years of work can matter for settlement
If you completed vocational training in Germany and then worked in Germany for two years, a settlement permit can be possible if you also meet the additional legal requirements.
Career growth continues
Vocational qualifications can lead to professional experience, further training, Meister/Fachwirt-type advancement depending on occupation, or later academic study where admission conditions are met.

Is there an age limit for Ausbildung in Germany?+
There is no general age limit for starting vocational training. The separate visa for seeking a training place requires applicants to be under 35. If you are over 45 and require a visa, check the special salary / retirement-provision rules that may apply.
Is HSC mandatory for every Ausbildung?+
No universal HSC rule applies to all dual in-company vocational training. Employers decide their school criteria. School-based training and professions such as nursing can have specific qualification or recognition requirements.
Is A2 or B1 German required?+
The safe answer is: check all three layers—federal rule, Dhaka visa checklist and the profession/employer. Federal guidance normally uses B1. Dhaka says usually A2, medical professions at least B1, with some employer-assessment flexibility outside medical professions. Nursing can require B1 or B2 depending on the state.
How much blocked-account money is required in 2026?+
There is no single flat amount for every Ausbildung applicant. Company-based training can use the training allowance as livelihood proof: the 2026 federal benchmark is €1,048 gross / €822 net monthly. If lower, the gap can be supplemented. School-based training uses a 2026 benchmark of €959 net per month. The training-place-search visa uses €1,091 per month.
Blocked account
Can I work part-time during Ausbildung?+
The current federal visa guidance says a residence permit for vocational training can allow a second job for up to 20 hours per week when it is independent of the vocational training.
Ausbildung চলাকালে part-time কাজ?
How long does the vocational-training visa take in Dhaka?+
The German Embassy Dhaka currently says the minimum processing time is approximately four weeks because the application must be forwarded to competent authorities in Germany. Individual cases can take longer, so do not build your plan around a guaranteed four-week result.
Can I stay in Germany after Ausbildung?+
After successful vocational training in Germany, you can generally obtain a residence permit to look for qualified employment for up to 18 months. A settlement permit may later be possible after two years of qualified work following German vocational training if the additional legal requirements are met.
Ausbildung
Does Shield arrange Ausbildung contracts or visas?+
No. Shield Language Academy teaches languages. It can help you build German through courses, books, workbooks, audio, self-study and software practice, but it does not issue official German certificates, employer contracts or German visas and cannot guarantee selection or approval.
